John Wayne Collins

1936-2016

Santa Rosa, MO…..John Wayne Collins, age 79 was born in Pattonsburg, Missouri on April 13, 1936 the son of Lucille (Tunnell) Collins, and passed away on January 22,2016 at St Lukes Hospice Center in Kansas City.

John was a hard worker and took great pride in everything he had done. He retired from MFA Propane and began doing things that he enjoyed, like listening to music and playing his guitar. He loved mowing and mowed for many in the community. He was known as “Big John” to his friends and family around the Pattonsburg and Maysville area.

He was preceded in death by his mother and sister, Judy Jane Welden.

Survivors include 2 brothers and three sisters, Garland Collins, Santa Rosa, Tim (Roena) Collins, Bethany, Barbara Jones, Blythedale, Penny Collins, Cameron, Wanda Fitzgerald, Excelcior Springs, and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Pattonsburg, MO. No visitation scheduled. Friends may call on Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions: St. Luke’s Hospice CenterJo
