Santa Rosa, Missouri…….Jean Ann Pooler, age 83, was born November 12, 1932 to James and Beulah Goosey in Plattsburg, Missouri and passed away June 6, 2016 at her home in Santa Rosa.

On September 9, 1948 Merton Pooler and Jean Ann Goosey were united in marriage in Pineville, Missouri. To this union three children were born. She was a loving mother who enjoyed cooking, quilting, and reading novels. Jean worked as a Dietician manager at the Ford Plant, TWA, and Panhandle Eastern.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters: Mary Lou Bullock, Alma Gannaway, and Doris Jackson.

Survivors include: three children, Merton James Pooler (Ellen), Gladstone, Vickie Price (John), Wichita, KS and Bonnie Pooler of the home; sister, Patty Waters; brother, Bobby Goosey; and four grandchildren, Chris Pooler, Tammy Varelman, Christopher Price and Hannah Price; four great-grandchildren, Cody & Shelby Varelman and Brooke & Colton Price.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2016 at Turner Family Funeral Home, Maysville with burial in Woods Cemetery, Fairport, MO. Visitation: one hour prior to service Friday at the funeral home. Friends may call on funeral home after 8:00 am. Friday. Memorial Contributions can be made to Woods Cemetery.

    So sorry for the loss of your mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She was a sweet woman who inspires me to sew, cook and clean!! God rest her soul, she is free from pain!! I appreciate the time spent visiting the Amish with she, Patty and Bonnie!!! That was such a fun day!! Love and God’s comfort to the family. Melinda Denver

      Vickie, You’re very welcome! Clearly, I’m behind on my email I used to write to Bonnie when Jean Ann was alive, and either Patty forgets to give me the address, or I forget to bug her about it! If you don’t mind, I don’t expect her to write back, unless she has time and wants to!! No worries!! I just need more to do!!
