Tom Farr
1938-2016
Stewartsville……Larry Thomas Farr, age 77, was born December 17, 1938 in Ravenwood, MO the son of Charles Ellsworth and Mazzie Katherine (Sybert) Farr and passed away June 12, 2016.
Tom served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. He was in the heavy equipment business with two brothers Jim and Bill Farr for 30+ years. He was devoted Christian and a member of First Baptist Church. Stewartsville He was a loving father, grandfather, and was a self-less person that helped everyone in need.
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Marjorie Farr; and brother, Elbert Farr.
Survivors include his wife Rita; three children, Dennis Lee Farr (Mary), Stewartsville and Kristi Candler (Bryan) Stewartsville, and Bob Dean (Melanie), Texas; nine brothers and sisters, Dela Terry, Liberty, Ronnie Farr, Stewartsville, Jim Farr, Stewartsville, Charles Farr, Stewartsville, Doc Farr, Stewartsville, Bill Farr, Stewartsville, Juanita Hovenga, Stewartsville, David Farr, Stewartsville, Mary Kay Shoemaker, Stewartsville; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Stewartsville with burial in Old School Presbyterian Cemetery, Stewartsville with full military honors. Saddened to hear of Tom’s passing but grateful he is healed and with our Lord in Heaven, not to mention sweet Marge. My best to all the Farr family.
