Stewartsville…….Carol Lea Farr, age 75, was born October 23, 1940 in Winston, MO the daughter of Merle Elsworth and Myrtle Mae (Pearl) Smith and passed away June 27, 2016 with her family at her side.
On May 22, 1993 Carol and Ronnie Lee Farr were united in marriage. In earlier years, she loved square-dancing and caring for her family which included 2 children, Steve and Terri. She was a member of Eastern Star in which she was a past Worthy Matron. Carol was baptized at an early age at Alta Vista Baptist Church, raised in a family of five girls, and educated first as a cosmetologist, and then real estate and insurance agent. She was an avid gardener and one of the best cooks one would ever know. In later years, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and working with her daughter. Carol was a most loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her son, Steve Keller whom she missed dearly; her parents; two sisters, Betty Rinehart and Norma Smith; and step-grandson Michael Farr.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie, of the home; daughter, Terri (Leo) Maxwell and their children Zachary, Cambrie, and Brian (Michaela) St. Joseph; four step-children, David Patrick, St. Joseph, Elbert (Adrian) Farr, Stewartsville, Jetta (Tim) McElroy, Cameron, Boyce (Dalyn) Farr, Aiken, SC; two sisters, Violet Merrigan, Coffey, MO and Janet (Jim) Baker, Gallatin, MO;; 11 step-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Trevor, Hunter, Gracen, Stephanie, Derek, Cory, Randi, Andy, Ronnie, and Cameron; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Stewartsville with burial in Old School Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
