1937-2017
Clarksdale, MO….Irma Kay Willis, age 79, was born September 25, 1937 north of Amity, Missouri the daughter of Harry and Mollie (Hines) Swartz and passed away peacefully with family by her side, February 25, 2017, in her home.
Irma and Alvin Willis were united in marriage April 20, 1956, at Oak Christian Church. To this union two children were born. Irma was Co-owner & Bookkeeper with Alvin in Benny’s Feed & Supply, Willis Service Station & Willis Tank Wagon Service. Irma was an active member of Oak Christian Church and spent over 45 years as a Sunday School Teacher. Later she became a member of Clarksdale Christian Church. She was also active in Community activities in Clarksdale. Her greatest love was her love of God, her family, Church family, & friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin and her parents.
Survivors include two children, JoAnn (Otis) Marshall, Maysville and Don (Carla) Willis, Stewartsville; two sisters, Bernetta (Bud) Buhman, St. Joseph and Iletta Pulley (Phil) Lawson; Aunt, Marguerite Swartz, St. Joseph; Uncle, John W. (Lola) Swartz; CO; brother-in-law, Leonard (Helen) Fleming, AZ; sister-in-laws, Marge Stewart, Iowa, Marilyn Willis, Kansas City, and Sunny Swartz, Florida; grandchildren, Lori Brown (Nick), Christopher Marshall, Brady Willis (Rachel Skaggs), Rachel Baer (Daniel), Samuel Willis, Tom Maloney, Billy Maloney, & Anna Maloney; four great-grandchildren, Jace & Grant Brown, Patrick & Isaac Willis and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Clarksdale Christian Church with burial in Oak Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville. Memorial Contributions: Clarksdale Christian Church or Oak Christian Church. Sorry we couldn’t be there we were visiting our kids in Illinois when we got the news. So sorry to hear about Irma, she was a jewel of a person, a Great Christian Lady. Our prayers are with the family. Pastor Ken & Karen Lewis

So sorry to hear this. Marlin and I will not be able there as we don’t live close. Irma was a great lady, I will miss seeing her when I come back for visits. Praying for you all during this difficult time.
