Fairport, MO…. Charles Joseph Lincoln, 99, passed away March 12, 2017. Charles (Red) was born August 30, 1917 to Charles Thomas and Lulu (Perry) Lincoln in Fairport, MO, where he lived his entire life.

Charles was a graduate of Maysville High School and later went on to serve in the United States Army during World War II. He married Charlene Burnham of Fairport on June 8, 1956 and they made their home on a farm north of Fairport. He was a member of the Fairport United Methodist Church.

Charles was an avid sports fan, especially baseball and was a life-long St. Louis Cardinals fan. He spent many years playing on different teams around the area. In his early years, would listen to the games on the radio, later in life, he would not miss a game on TV. Baseball provided many special memories.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Charlene in 2014; brother, Keith; and sister, Lucille Sweiger.

Survivors include son, Randy Lincoln, Fairport; daughter, Brenda (Mark) Goacher, St. Joseph; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville with burial in Fairport Cemetery. Visitation: 1:30 p.m to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions: Fairport Cemetery. Online condolences: www.turnerfamilyfuneral.com

    I went to school with his daughter and was in the same class . I will always remember spending the night with Brenda and being around red and Charlene . I wish I could be there has I have good memories of spending many times with the family. My prayers to Brenda and Randy at this time.
