Maxine Lee Winger

1929-2017

Maxine Lee Binstead was born January 2, 1929 in Stewartsville Mo. the daughter of Ocal Lee and Martha May (Sims) Binstead. She died April 18, 2017 at the age of 88 at the Kansas City Hospice House.
She attended Stewartsville High School graduating as Valedictorian in 1947. In October of 1947 she married the love of her life, Morris Winger. She spent her life doing what she loved…being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, music, and caring for others. She was a member of Culbertson Chapel UMC, playing the piano and organ for 25 years.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Morris, and daughter Martha Boydston. Survivors include her daughter Carol and husband Mike Barclay of Tunas, Mo.; son Rob Winger and wife Robin of Overland Park, KS.; and son-in-law Dean Boydston of Camden Point, Mo. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Celebration of life services will be 11 AM Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Culbertson chapel in Stewartsville Missouri with burial in Stewartsville cemetery. Memorial contributions in Lieu of flowers to Culbertson chapel or Kansas City Hospice House. Service are under the direction of Turner Family Funeral Home of Stewartsville.
