To Illah’s family,
I was so sad and shocked to hear of Illah’s passing. She was such a friendly, thoughtful and welcoming lady. When we first became acquainted, she invited my husband and I to her church. She always called me by name every time we ran into each other and always took the time to inquire about my life. I will greatly miss her smile and presence in the Clarksdale community. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this sad time.
Sincerely,
Anita Simon
Rest In Peace sweet Ilah Marie….you truly were one in a million….
So sorry for your loss ! She will be greatly missed . Loved her dearly
She truly was a one of a kind lady! I first met her when taking my kids to VBS at Oak Christian Church. Every time I ran into her she always stopped to chat for a minute and sometimes I got a hug! Great christian lady, she will most certainly be missed. RIP sweet Illah! <3
Oh, Miss Illa Marie! You will be sorely missed. Mike and I were truly saddened to not only learn of your death, but to realize a sudden trip to NW MO is no longer something we can do. You were always a bright spot in every school reunion and your friendship to me was treasured. I know it was many times that for Mike who knew you for so much longer and worked with you when he was at the school.
One of my favorite old times songs is “In the Garden.” Now I will always think of you when I hear/hum it!
Oh Illah Marie..how you will be missed. You were such a great lady and I always enjoyed our visits. You were a fabulous lady full of spunk and always brought a smile to my face. RIP my dear friend…
You have our sympathy. I will miss my piano partner!
Illah Marie was one of the best. She brought energy, joy, intelligence, and honesty everywhere she went. Though she was petite her sense of humor, smile, and faith made her a giant. With a heavy heart, she will be missed.
Ilah Marie was a wonderful woman and neighbor. She was the first one that showed up which homemade food when our mother passed away and Doggie came and cleared the road and driveway of several inches of snow. My family lived by them for 25 + years. She will be missed greatly by the community.
