Maysville, Missouri…….Rex Dewayne Fountain, age 82, was born October 15, 1934 in Albany, Missouri, the son of Orville and Ethel (McMichael) Fountain and passed away August 20, 2017.
Rex was a Christian and a member of Pattonsburg Baptist Church. He worked as a concrete foreman most of his life and loved to farm and coon hunt. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nadine Fountain; Step-daughter, Alice O’Dell; five brothers, Dale, Homer, Kenneth, Virgel, & Charles; four sisters, Christine Ward, Maxie Burns, Juanita Jackson, and Lula Wardrip; and grand-daughter, Patty Raines.
Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Keesaman and Judy Raines, Maysville; sister, Edith McGinness; two grandchildren, Angie (Dean) Shepard and Wes (Tammy) Raines of Maysville; five great-grandchildren, Kristin (Keith) Stafford, Brooke (Ryan) Wilmes, Kayla (Ron) Stallbories, Stephani (Ray) Wallace, and Toni (Derrick) Buckles; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Mount Moriah Union Chapel Cemetery. Visitation: 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville. Memorial contributions: Three Rivers Hospice. Online condolences: www.turnerfamilyfuneral.com
rex was a great guy who never met a stranger. he was a pretty good singer and play the guitar. one of his unknown talents. rex was my 3rd cousin by his mother being a mcmichael and my grand dad elmer mcmichael. we had some gtrat times together in our younger years, jerry b. hardin, st. joseph, mo. formerly of albany, mo.
