1932-2017


St. Joseph, MO……..Joseph Leslie DeHart, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born July 20, 1932 in Weatherby, Missouri the son of Raymond and Frances (Grace) DeHart.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two children: Carol Louise and Charles Edward.

After graduation from Maysville High School in 1950, he joined the US Air Force and served 17 years at which time he entered the US Army as a Warrant Officer and retired in 1971.

He is survived by three sons, Steven Leslie (Penny), Michael David, James Louis (Carolyn); daughter-in-law, Janice DeHart, brother Paul Edward (Joanie) and wife of 66 years, Alice Jean; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Joe was a member of Huffman Memorial United Methodist Church.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Huffman Memorial United Methodist Church with burial at Shambaugh-Cope Cemetery, Weatherby, Missouri.
