Thomas Burris
1929-2018

Clarksdale, Missouri…..Thomas Arthur Burris, age 89, was born March 29, 1929 in Clarksdale, Missouri, the son of Raymond Glade and Fairy Mae (Sample) Burris and passed away June 22, 2018.

Tom was a Boy Scout Leader and an Honorary Warrior with the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He was a member of Moose Lodge in Florida and Masonic Lodge where he received his 50 year pin.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Bernice; daughter, Elaine Brizendine; brothers, Jerry & John Phillip; sister Maxine Haney; daughter-in-law, Tina Vandiveer, and four grandchildren.

Survivors include six children, Ron (Cindy) Burris, Debbie Mauzey, Pete Burris, Rob (Chris) Burris, Paul (Tina) Burris, Lisa Burris; Mother of His Children, Oma Burris; Step Children, David Vandever, Debbie (Jeff) McQuillin, and Danny Vandever; son-in-law, Terry (Jymmie) Brizendine; Twenty-eight grandchildren; Thirty-three Great-Grandchildren; and Six Great-Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2018 at Turner Family Funeral Home of Stewartsville with burial following in Clarksdale Cemetery.
