1928-2018

Maysville, MO….Curtis Shaw Sifers, age 90, was born September 12, 1928 in Amity, Missouri the son of Samuel Harrison and Lucy E. (Shaw) Sifers and passed away October 28, 2018 in Cameron, Missouri.

Curtis was in the United States Navy for eight years, serving in both WW II and Korea. February 4, 1951, Curtis and Nancy Nichols were united in marriage.  To this union two children were born.  Curtis & Nancy enjoyed square dancing and bowling together. Curtis worked for MFA Agri-Services for 24 years and farmed all his life.   He enjoyed reading westerns and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Nancy; son David; and eleven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include son, Mike (Nancy) Sifers; three grandchildren, Sarah Sifers, Matthew (Jessica) Daniel, and Rachel Sifers; three great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Irene Sifers.

Cremation under the direction of Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville.  Private Memorial Services are scheduled at a later date.  Memorial Contributions:  Show-Me Christian Youth Home.  Online Condolences:  www.turnerfamilyfuneral.com

    Mike, sorry to hear of Uncle Curtis’ passing. I always enjoyed visiting with him when I passed through Maysville and Cameron. He was the last survivor of the Samuel and Lucy Sifers offsprings, our grand parents that we never knew, but I remember the family who took your Dad in.
