Virda Von (McClendon) Huffhines, 85, of King City, Mo. passed
away on July 7, 2019, at King City Manor.
Funeral services will be held at Turner Family Funeral
Home in Maysville on Friday, July 12, 2019, at
2 p.m. with Rev. Rick Sharp of Fairport Baptist Church officiating .
Visitation will be held two hours prior.
Cremation will follow, under the direction of the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Turner Family
Funeral Home of Maysville, Mo.
Virda was born in Duncan, Oklahoma to John Emmit and Mary Jane (Marlow) McClendon, on March 23, 1934.
She worked as a custodian for the City of Garland, Texas for many years.
Virda enjoyed traveling very much, and was a big fan of Westerns.
She especially liked Lorne Greene and Dan Blocker of Bonanza fame.
Virda was a sharer, very generous, and would give you the shirt off of her back.
She is survived by five children, Janet Duckworth, Sunnyvale,Tx., Glen (Lisa) McDanel, Kingston,Ok., Tommy (Annette) McDanel, Winnsboro,Tx., Darla (Chuck) Denny, Maysville Mo., and Brenda Murphy, Dallas,Tx., three brothers, Don McClendon, of Arizona, Lee McClendon of Oklahoma, Carroll McClendon of Oklahoma, two sisters, Sue Ball of Iowa, Darlene Weaver of Texas,17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, Virda was preceded in death by a son,
Jeff Phillips, as well as two brothers, and two sisters.
