Martha Merle Mader was born May 13, 1946, to Meredith and Josephine Mader in Independence, MO.

While working together at Westfall GMC Truck in Kansas City, MO, she met the love of her life, Roy Fletcher. In 1967, they married in Las Vegas, NV, and lived various places until the summer of 1976.
