Dorothy Bromley: In Our Care ~ February 3, 2023

Dorothy Eleanor Bromley, 93 of Cameron, MO passed away February 3rd, 2023 at her residence in Cameron, MO. She was born January 19th, 1930 to Joseph and Gertrude (Channell) Grace in Weatherby, MO.

Dorothy went to school in Weatherby, MO and then later married the love of her life, Earl Leslie Bromley, on June 27th, 1948. They were united in marriage in Winston, MO. During their marriage, they had one daughter, Donna. Donna had two daughters, Diana and Danielle, and one son, Aaron.  Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

While living on the farm, Dorothy was a dedicated wife and mother and also owned and managed a grocery store in Weatherby, MO with her husband Les. She is well known for her delicious cooking among family and friends, and her famous baked macaroni and cheese was everyone’s favorite. No matter what the occasion, no one left the table hungry. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and having them over where they had many memorable moments like playing games or having a sweet treat. Dorothy was also a member of the Weatherby United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John and Calvin Grace, sisters, Frances DeHart, Ethel Allwood, Ruth Johnson, and Helen Stewart, daughter, Donna Bromley, and grandchild, Aaron Hamer. Survivors include her granddaughters Diana Walker and Danielle (Nicholas) Habrock.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville with burial following at Shambaugh-Cope Cemetery, Weatherby, Missouri.
Visitation:  6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home

Memorial Contributions:  Weatherby United Methodist Church

    Sorry to hear of Dorothys’ passing. We have many good memories of her and Les. Most of you know Les had a fuel truck and my Dad the Station
    in Weatherby. We were very familar with both of them. Sending our sympathy to her family. Gary and Judy

    So sorry to hear of Dorothy’s passing, thoughts and prayers for all her family. I went to a club years ago with Dorothy and I really enjoyed visiting with her. She was a very sweet lady and I know she will be missed by so many.
