1934~2023

Maysville, Missouri… Jean Anne Bird, 88, passed away on October 21st, 2023 at KU Medical Center. She was born on December 22nd, 1934 in Pattonsburg, Missouri to Norwood & Evelyn Fore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, sister Alma Lee & her parents.

She graduated from Maysville High School & Missouri Methodist Hospital School of Nursing to become an RN. Her primary occupation was being the glue that kept the operations of Bird Farms running.

On September 24, 1955 Stanley & Jean Anne Fore were united in marriage at the First Christian Church in Maysville, Missouri. They were married for 62 years before Stanley’s passing. To this union they were blessed with 3 sons.

Jean Anne cherished her boys & celebrating their successes throughout their lives. She felt very fortunate to have them all close by.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and also attended The United Methodist Church in Maysville.

Jean Anne really had a passion for her flowers, gardening & took pride in producing delicious tomatoes. She was a fabulous cook & loved having family gatherings, especially for the holidays.

Jean Anne & Stanley could be seen in the stands of every game, match, concert & recital of their 7 grandchildren, no matter how many miles of travel were required. She always looked forward to her great grandchildren coming to the farm to create new memories.

Jean Anne was always ready for a good time watching sports, going out to eat & visiting various casinos. She enjoyed the outdoors & was often seen sitting at Lake Stanley taking in the view of what Stanley built for their family.

Jean Anne is survived by her sister Nadine Chalfin (Mark), brother Dave Fore (Jane), sons, Michael Bird, Brent Bird (Lisa), Bruce Bird (Sherri), grandchildren Brett Bird (Sam), Derek Bird (Veronica), Nicole Allan (Macon), Jessica Bird (Jeremy), Lindsey, Kayla, Kendra, great-grandchildren, Joseph, Scarlett, Sullivan, Thatcher, Cecelia, Crosby, Emmitt, Maddox, Harper and several nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00 ~ 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2023, at Turner Family Funeral Home in Maysville.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the funeral home with burial immediately following at Oak Lawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Oak Lawn Cemetery.
