Maysville, Missouri…Timothy (Tim) Stewart Whisler, age 80, died peacefully in his home on Monday, May 13th, 2024.  He will be missed dearly by his family and friends who loved spending time with him listening to his colorful stories.

Tim was born September 20th, 1943, near Princeton, Missouri, the son of the late Stewart Arthur Whisler and Avis Lorene (Downey) Whisler of Princeton, Missouri.

On December 28th, 1960 he married Karen Ann Warner in St. Joseph, Missouri. Tim and Karen worked side by side in the early days in the lumbar and hardware store industry.  In 1983 they took over the family business, Warner Locker in Maysville, Missouri, from Karen’s parents Clark and Grace Ellen Warner. Even though Karen passed away in 1995 Tim continued to own and operate Warner Locker until 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents Stewart and Avis Whisler; wife, Karen; sister, Mary Kirby; brother Dale Whisler; grandson, Colin Whisler; granddaughter, Sarah Whisler.

Survivors include 2 sons Leslie (Les) Whisler of Kansas City, MO and Marcus (Mark) Whisler of Osborn, MO; granddaughter, Madison Thramer of Omaha, NE; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 ~ 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 24th, 2024, at Turner Family Funeral Home in Maysville, MO.
Private family inurnment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

    Tim and Karen were great friends and shared many happy times together. Will miss him , lots of fun times together.

    We knew Tim from his locker business. He was always friendly and helpful. He had some good stories from Harrison and Grundy County. What a great guy!!
