1943-2016


Union Star, MO­…….Everett Ensley Buzzard was born on November 1, 1943 to Elma Edgar and Nellie Mae (Griffey) Buzzard and passed away on September 23, 2016.
Everett joined the United States Navy in 1961 during the Vietnam War and served until 1964. Everett joined the Missouri Army National Guard, serving with the 135th Signal Battalion, in 1981 and was honorably discharged in 1998.


On September 29, 1979, Everett married Cora Rose “Rosie” Doherty, who survives of the home.
Everett was a hard working, jack­of­all­trades and could often be found tinkering in his garage. If something was broke, Everett would fix it. If Everett didn’t have something he needed, he would build it. This shown through in the various careers Everett had over the years including Hillyard’s Chemical Co. as a maintenance electrician while also working part­time as an appliance repairman and then as a mudjacker for Bradley Concrete.


Everett enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. Everett also enjoyed playing cards, horseshoes, and other games with friends, family, and neighbors. Everett was friendly and was usually seen with a smile on his face. Everett was known to be ornery and enjoyed playing jokes on others.


Everett was preceded in death by: his parents; son, Reece Buzzard; brother, Harlan Buzzard; brothers­in­law, Seth Sharrah and Bud Doherty.


Survivors include: wife, Rosie Buzzard; sister, Donna Sharrah, of Gallatin, MO; sister­in­law, Georgie Buzzard, of, Maysville, MO; children, Whitney Paige (David) Rhodes, of Brook Park, OH, Ella Rose “Posie” (Andy) Coats, of Bolckow, MO; Andrea Lynn (Dusty) Wells, Cathy Louise Buzzard, John Howard Buzzard, all of Union Star, MO. Grandchildren: Eion, Ryan, and Isaac Coats; PJ and Kirsten Hielen; Austin Hess and Patricia Wells; Britanee Cutburth and Levi Cutburth; and 5 great­grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville with burial in Wood Cemetery, Fairport, MO. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions: Wood Cemetery. www.turnerfamilyfuneral.com
