1937-2016
Stewartsville….Charles “Chuck” Edward Farr, age 79, was born August 18, 1937 in Ravenwood, Missouri the son of Charles Ellsworth and Mazzie Katherine (Sybert) Farr and passed away December 30, 2016 peacefully at his home.
On April 2, 1961, Charles and Yvonne Edwards were united in marriage. Charles served in the United States Air Force in 1957. To this union four children were born. Charles was a Heavy Equipment Operator for JP Grimes for approximately 20 years and later was the Ground Equipment Supervisor for Saudi Arabian Airlines in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for 8 years. Upon returning to the states, Charles was the Ground Equipment Supervisor for Western Missouri Correctional Center in Cameron until his retirement in 2001.
Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother that loved the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Stewartsville.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Elbert & Tom Farr; two sisters-in-laws, Marge & Carol Farr.
Survivors include his loving wife Yvonne, of the home; four children, Kevin (Jenny) Farr, Steelville, MO, LD (Valerie) Farr, Danville, IN, Dawna (Chris) Koterman, Round Lake Beach, IL, Spring (Brett) Wright, Wesley Chapel, FL; eight brothers and sisters, Della Terry (Nathan), Liberty, Ronnie Farr, Stewartsville, Jim Farr (Laura), Stewartsville, Doc Farr(Rachael), Stewartsville, Bill Farr (Dora), Stewartsville, Juanita Hovenga (Byron), Stewartsville, David Farr, Stewartsville, Mary Kay (John) Shoemaker, Stewartsville; ten grandchildren, Charly (Fiancé Todd), Ethan (Paige); Spenser (Courtney); Alexis; Katie, Christine, Caleb; Jessie, Lilly, and Eli; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Stewartsville with burial following at Old School Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday prior to Funeral Service at Turner Family Funeral Home of Stewartsville. Memorial Contributions: First Baptist Church of Stewartsville.
