1931-2018
Cameron, MO …..Carl Henry Kolb, age 86, (formerly of Maysville) was born October 3, 1931 to Henry August Kolb and Martha Marie (Heintz) Kolb in Gentry County, Missouri. Carl went to be with the Lord March 13, 2018. Carl lived his entire life in Dekalb County, MO and attended Mt. Hope rural school eight years and graduated Maysville High School in 1949. He was employed by “Kolb Implement Co” and farmed prior to military duty.
While in High School, he learned to type quite well giving him the ability to keep records for Personnel in the 780th Field Artillery, HQ Battery during his tour in Korea, 1952-1953. He was discharged from active duty in 1954 and returned home to resume farming.
Carl was a Maysville R-1 School Board member for six years and served on the Oak Lawn Cemetery Board several years. He was of the Baptist faith.
On May 15, 1954, he married the love of his life Pauline Hahn at the First Baptist Church of Maysville with the Rev. Billy Hereford officiating. To this union two children were born, Carolyn Sue Kolb and Gary Wayne Kolb.
Survivors include his wife Pauline, of the home; Carolyn Clay (Steve) and Gary Kolb (Gae); Grandchildren, Bradley Clay (Lynn), Jeremy Clay (Nikki), David Clay (Keri), Brennan (Kelsey Wood), Bradi Kolb (Jordan Bennett), Blayne Kolb, & Blayke Kolb; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law; Kay Marshall (Doug), Martha Baker (Larry), Cheri Hahn; Brother-in-law, Clyde L. Hahn (Martha); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents; Henry and Marie Kolb; grandparents, Fred and Emily Heintz and August and Ann Kolb, sister-in-law, Lois Beechner; and brother-in-law, John Hahn.
Carl loved Southern Gospel music and being with his children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 at Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville with burial following in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
