Stewartsville, MO…….Vila Rose Meyerdirk, 98, of Stewartsville, Mo., passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 @ her home, in Stewartsville.
Funeral service will be held @ Turner Family Funeral Home, Stewartsville, Mo. on Friday, August 10 @ 10 a.m., with Pastor Jonathan Garlock, officiating. Christian Burial will follow at the Stewartsville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 9, at Turner Family Funeral home in Stewartsville, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Turner Family Funeral Home of Stewartsville, Mo.
Vila was born in Spencer, Ia., to Olen S. and Elsie (Handy) Stroup, on July 16, 1920.
On July 2, 1938, she married George Meyerdirk, he preceded her in death.
She loved planting flowers,watching old westerns(especially Gunsmoke), game shows, and taking care of children.
Vila was a very caring person, a loving mom, grandma, and mother in law.
She is survived by her children, Larry (Kathy) Meyerdirk, and Terry (James) Cooper, a sister, Virginia Bruns as well as numerous other relatives & many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Jerry Meyerdirk, and Duane Meyerdirk, a grandson, Casey and a great grandson, Andrew.
