Dorothy Lee Carrel: In Our Care August 25, 2018

Clarksdale, Missouri

Dorothy Lee Carrel, age 91, was born May 8, 1927 in Amazonia, Missouri, the daughter of Walter and Esther (Oppenlander) Rudolph, and passed away August 25, 2018.

On October 12, 1947 Dorothy and Ray Carrel were united in marriage.  To this union three children were born.

Dorothy was a very upbeat personality with a lot of energy. She enjoyed working on the farm, gardening, and cooking. Dorothy worked for many years at Division of Family Services and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church at Clarksdale.  She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ray Carrel; and son Ronnie Carrel.

Survivors include two children, Gary (Pat) Carrel and Cheri (Richard) Miles; grandchildren, Lauren Miles and Ryan Carrel; daughter-in-law, Neva Carrel; siblings, Faye Morgan, Bob Rudolph, and Jerry Rudolph.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Mt. Moriah Bapitist Church, Clarksdale, Missouri with burial following at St. Joseph Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation:  6:00 to 8:00 p.m Monday at Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville.  Memorial Contributions:  Grand Oaks Baptist Assembly (Camp).

    So sorry to hear of your Moms` passing. Dorothy was like a mother to Roger, Carol and Eddie! I cherished the time I spent with her growing up and learning all the things that she taught me! I will truly miss this wonderful lady!

      Dorothy was a wonderful person and a true friend. I remember her great meals she prepared when I worked with Ronnie and Gary during my high school years. My condolences to Gary and Cherie and their families. Rest in Peace Dorothy.

    Dorothy was a wonderful person and a true friend. I remember her good cooking especially when I worked on the farm with Ronnie and Gary during my high school years. She always had a full meal for us at the dinner table. My condolences to Gary and Cherie and their families. Rest in Peace Dorothy.

    God has gained another angel in heaven. Dorothy always had a beautiful smile for life. Beautiful inside and out. She will be missed here on earth but she is with her family in heaven and still smiling. Rest in peace Dorothy.
