Maysville, MO…….Kenneth L. Maret, 92, formerly of Santa Rosa, Mo., passed away on Thursday November 29, 2018 @ Cameron Regional Medical Center.
Graveside Funeral service will be held @ Fairport Cemetery, Fairport, Mo. on Thursday, December 6, 2018, @ 2 p.m., with Pastor Mike Wolf officiating.
Christian Burial will follow.
There is no scheduled Visitation
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville, Mo.
Kenneth was born in rural Dekalb County to Sanford Bunyan and Maudie Opal (Pearl) Maret on November 8, 1926.
He attended New Harvard Elementary Country School and graduated High School in Maysville.
Kenny served in The U.S. Army during WWII in the Philippines and as part of the occupation of Japan, earning many commendations and awards for honorable service.
He worked for Bram Monument Co. for over 43 years as a expert monument cutter and engraver.
Kenny was an avid motorcycle rider and loved to hunt, shoot rifles, as well as collect shotguns.
He was a quiet, caring person, who was generous almost to a fault.
Kenny acknowledged The Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior.
Kenny is survived by a nephew, Bruce B. Grimes and Cody Jerome Grimes, cousin, Marilyn(Everett) Lampman, stepson,Jason Welden, and best friends Jack and Deborah Huff, numerous other relatives & a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Nelson E. Maret.
Memorials: Maysville High School Trapshooters, in care of Turner Family Funeral Home, Maysville, Mo.
