Stewartsville, Missouri……..Darlene Grace Brawner, age 84, was born August  5, 1934 in Clarinda, Iowa the daughter of Ross and Mildred (Kent) Hunter and passed away June 26, 2019.

On December 28, 1957, Darlene and Roy Brawner were united in marriage.  To this union four children were born.  Darlene enjoyed quilting, painting, making porcelain dolls, and weaving baskets.  She was very thorough in everything she did and loved doing her family genealogy.  Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles Brawner; sister, Evelyn Ruth Gray-Christenson; and two brothers, Bill and Jim Hunter.

Survivors include her husband, Roy, of the home; three children, Rebecca (Larry) Slone, Statesville, NC, Rory (Lisa) Brawner, Melrose, WI, and Richard (Karen) Brawner, IL; two sisters, Anita Morgan and Dorothy Britt, both of Clarinda, IA; seven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

    I miss you so very much mom.
    I can’t believe that you could put up living in a bunk car and raise a family on the rails.
    You were so strong and generous.
    Dad loves you so much.
    This will be difficult for him . Please watch over him mom.
    I am so sorry that you had to live through this cruel Disease.
    Your flower garden looks very nice. I hope that you like it.
