Stewartsville, MO……Karen Lee Pickett (Lizar), age 80, passed away on Saturday October 26, 2019.

Karen was born in Maysville, Missouri the daughter of Arthur and Pearl (Waller) Lizar in 1939. She graduated from Stewartsville High School in 1957 and married Eddie Pickett in 1960. She graduated from Missouri Western State College in 1987 with honors in English.

Karen was a dedicated mother and wife. She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Christian Church were she served as secretary for many years. Throughout her life Karen loved to travel, especially to National Parks and to Hawaii. She was a member of Psi Zeta sorority in Stewartsville.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Pearl Lizar and her sister Jean Cox.

Karen is survived by her husband Eddie Pickett; children, Tom and Paul Pickett and Kathy (Paul) Upton; grandchildren, Bridget and Max Upton, loving sister, Mary Kimes; five nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 29 at Turner Family Funeral Home of Stewartsville. Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Stewartsville Food Pantry or Presbyterian Christian Church of Stewartsville in care of Turner Family Funeral Home P.O box 350 Maysville, MO 64469.
