Thomas Arthur Hurst
1948-2020

Clarksdale, Missouri…….Thomas Arthur Hurst, 71, of rural Clarksdale, Mo. departed this life on Friday, October 23, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held by his family here in Missouri, in New York State, and Nashville, Tennesee at a later date.
Thomas has been cremated under the direction of Turner Family Funeral Home of Stewartsville, Mo.
Tom was born in Ogdensburg, N.Y., to Arthur and Dorothy (Lovely) Hurst on June 5, 1948.
After High School, he went on to higher education earning a Bachelor’s Degree.
Tom worked for many years as a Supervisor in the construction industry.
He served with distinction in the United States Navy during Vietnam.
Tom Married Donna Sherrill of Nashville, Tennessee in June of 2004.
She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: his first wife, Dora Hurst, children, Heather (Keith) Shaver, Samantha Morgan Johnson, four grandchildren, Richard, Thomas, Faith, Hope, many other relatives and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents,sisters, Patricia Congel, Darles Sovie, brother, John Hurst, nephew, Jamie Sovie, niece, Jennifer Sovie,grandparents, Jack and Sadie Smith.
Memorials may be made to Freudenthal Hospice in lieu of flowers.
