1933-2021
Maysville, Missouri….Harriette McDora Harris, age 87 was born November 4, 1933 in Stewartsville, Missouri the daughter of Ralph and Sally Cochran and passed away January 31, 2021 in Panama City, Florida.
Harriette and Charles Thompson Harris were united in marriage. To this union two children were born. Harriette loved being on the farm, where she was a skilled gardener with a green thumb. She was of the Baptist faith, served on VFW Auxiliary and Maysville Historical Society for many years.
Later in life Harriette enjoyed traveling with Joyce and Bill, especially the cruises and train rides. She loved her family very much and her grandchildren were the joy of her life. Harriette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and foster grandmother to many special kids.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; grand-daughter, Lauren Paige; two sisters; and ten brothers.
Survivors include two children, Thomas (Angela) Harris, Hope Mills, North Carolina and Joyce (Bill) Dunning, Maysville, MO; brother, Cecil Cochran, Osborn; two grandchildren, Jason Dunning, St. Louis, MO and David (Christina) Dunning, Kansas City, MO; six great-grandchildren and numerous foster grandchildren.
Graveside Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Amity Cemetery, Amity, Missouri. Open Visitation 10:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m Friday at Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville. Memorial Contributions: Children’s Mercy Hospital. Online condolences: www.turnerfamilyfuneral.com
