Jack Allan Sollars


Maysville, Missouri…Jack Allan Sollars, age 89, was born June 27, 1934 the son of Gilbert and Jennie Mae (McNair) Sollars in St. Joseph, Missouri.  Jack passed away peacefully on April 28, 2024, with his family by his side at Sunset Nursing Home in Maysville.

Jack served proudly in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.  Jack loved to fish and spend time with his friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; one sister; wife Dorrine Sollars; and grandson Matthew Landess.

Survivors include three sons, Jeff (Cindy) Sollars, Jay (Sheila) Sollars, and Jack (Pat) Dollars; Two Stepsons, Bill (Twyla) Landess and Terry (Monica) Landess; Six grandchildren, Kim, Abby, Clint, Candi, Crystal, and Megan; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation under the direction of Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville. Per Jacks request no services are scheduled.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sunset Nursing Home in care of the funeral home. Turner Family Funeral Home P.O. Box 350 Maysville, MO  64469.

    I worked with Jack many years ago when he was a process server in our office. He was a great man. Hugs and Prayers for his family. RIP Jack.

    I worked with Jack in the child support division.
    He was very professional in the tasks required of the office but his office space was always an air of lighthearted good nature.
    I saw him last in 2022, at Winnie’s birthday party, thanks to female relative who drove him in from Maysville.
