So sorry to hear of Martha’s passing. Many years ago, my mother and she were genealogy buddies (on the Mathis/Matthews line) and Martha was instrumental in getting me interested in the family history. She had quite an impact on us, and I cherish her memory.

Oh so sad to see this. I have enjoyed her writing in the Record-Herald for so many years and will miss those. Many prayers to her family and many friends. What a wonderful long life she has lived. Charlotte Carpenter

What a testimony to our Lord her life was and the reality of a Savior’s love and salvation offered for all who choose Christ. I didn’t know her but her niece Marilyn is my sister-in-law. What a beautiful life she lived!
